I think a seven out of ten is decent because there will always be flaws in any kind of education system we create, it is inevitable. Like most of my peers, I have enjoyed most of my teachers throughout the years. The problem is that we have more teachers caring about their students' future, than students caring about their own future.
Teachers can only do so much and then the student must really start to grow up and not rely so much on the teachings in a classroom. The best way for humans to learn is by experience. I think that having all of these college prep electives and ROP classes allows students to have that experience that helps them learn whatever they try to accomplish.
I feel that is the best preparation when talking about what our graduating class will be up to.
Bottom line is: our education is fair, but students need to APPLY YOURSELF.

Discussion Reflection 2/11/11
Regarding the in-class discussion on last Friday, I feel most people did not speak because of their own spiritual belief. It is so difficult to not let religious understandings and worldly debates interfere. The main point of this reflection is to say that I really learned a lot that I never would have guessed.
I guess the main controversy is about how most Christian Americans are letting our faith have a sense of biased feeling towards the very same violent religion that killed 3,000 Americans. Personally I do not feel this is fair. I feel that Islam needs to "police" their own religion more, but until then they will remain a stereotype.
In Europe, Muslim soldiers burn down and destroy orthodox churches and build or recreate a mosque as a sign of victory in place of the church. Indirectly, this is occurring right in front of our eyes. Although the WTC was not a place of religion, it was an American's feeling/building of growth and freedom but then to be disrespectful and what to build a mosque of the same faith that murdered all of those people is not right in anyway.

Bill Gates: Vaccine-autism link 'an absolute lie'
http://www.cnn.com/2011/HEALTH/02/03/gupta.gates.vaccines.world.health/index.html
The multi-billionaire philanthropist has planned to eradicate and rid the world or polio by the year of 2012 by pledging over $10 billion dollars from his foundation whose effort is delivering vaccinations to children all over the world.
The idea or theory of these vaccinations leading to many disorders, including autism, are said to be not true and it is proven that these vaccinations really do better society by preventing disease like some types of ringworm, polio, measles, and pertussis.
These vaccines are essential and extremely important today and it is not true that they kill or sicken kids. Parents request that their child not be vaccinated and then later on the child gets sick from something the vaccination could have prevented.

Health Care Discussion Reflection
This was a very interesting topic and I enjoyed hearing what everyones' opinion was on the subject. Even though Jack Epsteen didn't say much, he mentioned something about how cities put so much money into things like baseball stadiums and recreation centers. I am all for that because i love baseball, watching the youth grow and play, and all of the events that could take place there but maybe it is time to look and realize what its really more important here: your own health or entertainment? Jack also brought up how we are "a country of excess" which I totally agree with. Sometimes I feel that we focus and aim all of our energy, including money, into entertainment because we think that is so important. I bring this up because i feel when Obama passed this we were still all waiting for the big question to be answered: who is going to pay for this? I always figured he said to himself that he would try to get it passed and deal with the money issue later but really, I do not believe that there is a way to have this universal health care and everyone to be happy with it. I enjoy a good time just as much as the next guy but if there is anyway to pay for this attempt, I would say we would have to cut into the money we put in for entertainment because the U.S. has a plan like a family budget. Every family budgets for things they want and they cut their expenses on the things that are not so important in order to have money for the things that are necessary. Maybe health care is just something our nation has to budget for.
McConnell Proposes Health Law Repeal as Amendment in Senate
The Health Care Bill has been deemed unconstitutional this touchy subject seems to have no answer. The idea of mandatory healthcare is actually a right not a privelige meaning citizens can choose whether or not they want to spend their money on health care. This choice can then effect the people who already have health care because not only will they be paying for their own health care but they then have to pay for the peoples that get hurt and do not have any coverage.
