My father works extremely close with a man who is form southern California and works as some kind of engineer mechanic at our very own San Onofre nuclear power plants. This man told me yesterday that there is a heck of a lot more going on down in Japan than we are being told. Officials do this in order so it will not cause all of this havoc and mayhem around the world. There is without a doubt that more radiation leakage than we are being told. We can only hope that if we are this intelligent to create nuclear power, that we can contain it. Japan uses the Pacific Ocean for its cooling system. They wrap the water around the two fuel rods that are creating the power in order for the cooling process to be in effect. If the transportation pumps of the water is disrupted, the fuel rods might ignite and cause an explosion of fire. Lucky for us in socal, we have the same colling system, with a failsafe. We use the Pacific Ocean as well but we also maintian a resevoir which will cool down the power plant if such ocean pumps were to fail or be destroyed.
