Health Care Discussion Reflection

This was a very interesting topic and I enjoyed hearing what everyones' opinion was on the subject. Even though Jack Epsteen didn't say much, he mentioned something about how cities put so much money into things like baseball stadiums and recreation centers. I am all for that because i love baseball, watching the youth grow and play, and all of the events that could take place there but maybe it is time to look and realize what its really more important here: your own health or entertainment? Jack also brought up how we are "a country of excess" which I totally agree with. Sometimes I feel that we focus and aim all of our energy, including money, into entertainment because we think that is so important. I bring this up because i feel when Obama passed this we were still all waiting for the big question to be answered: who is going to pay for this? I always figured he said to himself that he would try to get it passed and deal with the money issue later but really, I do not believe that there is a way to have this universal health care and everyone to be happy with it. I enjoy a good time just as much as the next guy but if there is anyway to pay for this attempt, I would say we would have to cut into the money we put in for entertainment because the U.S. has a plan like a family budget. Every family budgets for things they want and they cut their expenses on the things that are not so important in order to have money for the things that are necessary. Maybe health care is just something our nation has to budget for.
